GMR Group presents GMR Aerospace & Industrial Park – an Aerospace & Industrial cluster at GMR Hyderabad International Airport to meet the growing needs of manufacturing and assembling hubs in the country. Spread across an area of over 277 acres, the park is part of an airport ecosystem, GMR AeroCity Hyderabad, and offers fully serviceable industrial lands for lease or build-to-suit development purposes.
GMR Aerospace & Industrial Park has been strategically chosen with an emphasis on connectivity. It is well connected by air, road and rail, including robust connectivity to ports. This strategic location offers businesses easy access to suppliers, enabling efficient supply chain management. These linkages also provide the benefit of faster turn-around time and maximisation of productivity.
Apart from the numerous advantages a business can leverage by virtue of being in GMR Aerospace & Industrial Park, it additionally offers a complete ecosystem due to its location inside the airport campus.
Hyderabad International Airport is connected to 75+ domestic destinations and 17 international destinations, providing GMR Aerospace & Industrial Park with connectivity to all parts of India and the world.
Pushpak is a non-stop airport service from the airport to important destinations located in the city. These are round-the-clock AC coaches offering safe and secure travel. For employees working within the airport premises, Pushpak offers monthly passes at concessional rates.
The presence of an air cargo complex at the airport enables quick dispatch and receipt of express cargo and bulk cargo with ease. Businesses at the Aerospace & Industrial Park can thus benefit from the quick turnaround of materials which will help them meet service levels agreed upon with their customers.
Novotel Hyderabad Airport is located just five minutes from the Aerospace & Industrial Park and is a contemporary hotel featuring approximately 300 spacious rooms. The hotel is attuned to the needs of business travellers with meeting and conference rooms, banquet halls for entertainment, an all-day dining multi-cuisine restaurant, WiFi facilities, drop/pick from the airport along with an 80,000 sq ft multi-use Convention Centre located beside it.
Affordable accommodations are located within a 30-minute drive from the GMR Aerospace & Industrial Park. There are numerous integrated communities with apartments and villas that are self-sufficient with clubhouse facilities, play areas for children, daycare and supermarket facilities around the airport premises. Low-cost housing is also available in Shamshabad town, which is a 10-minute drive from the park.
Fire: In case of an emergency, all units within the Aerospace & Industrial Park can call in the services of the highly trained Airport Rescue and Fire-fighting (ARFF) team as preliminary support till the time the fire-fighting team from the closest fire station arrives.
Emergency Treatment Centre: Apollo Hospitals run a 17-bed emergency treatment centre at the airport. A standby ambulance fitted with advanced life-saving equipment is also available for emergencies.
By virtue of the park being housed within the Hyderabad International Airport, the GMR Aerospace & Industrial Park benefits from greater security. The airport premise is surrounded by a secure boundary with limited access. These accesses are manned by RAXA security team (security cell of GMR). The airport premise is also secured by layers of security by CISF, BCAS and Telangana state police making the area very secure, unaffected by disturbances and unrest.
GMR Aerospace & Industrial Park includes a land area of approx. 20 acres earmarked as a Free Trade Warehousing Zone (FTWZ) to complement supply chain distribution, warehousing, storage, value addition and packaging. This is the only airport-based FTWZ in India, which brings down transportation costs and reduces the turnaround time for the movement of man and material.
Units within the FTWZ are allowed to export, import and re-export products without the burden of taxes, duties and levies as per the regulations that a business would otherwise pay in any other Domestic Tariff Area (DTA) land. The FTWZ allows businesses to locate stock in close proximity to their Indian customers, reducing buffer stocks and improving turnaround time. This increases forward and reverse service supply-chain efficiencies.
FTWZ units are also permitted to trade goods, assemble completely knocked-down (CKD) and semi-knocked-down(SKD) kits, package or repackage, re-sell, re-invoice or re-export imported goods.
The FTWZ facilitates logistics companies to build warehouses to store commodities for both the short and long term without the impact of import duty.
The FTWZ allows companies to leverage state-of-the-art infrastructure warehouses, both for Indian and international distribution. It provides an opportunity for effective re-export of commodities with facilities for sorting, grading, kitting and repackaging, among others. It also imparts an opportunity to undertake value-added activities like reverse logistics apart from general cargo handling.
FTWZ at the GMR Hyderabad Airport City entails the re-export, re-sale and re-invoice of goods without any restrictions. The goods can also be traded in DTA by payment of customs duties as applicable at the time of sale.
Packing and re-packing without processing and labelling as per customer or marketing requirements are also undertaken at FTWZ.
Assembly of CKD and SKD kits is also permitted at the FTWZ.
