GMR AeroCity Hyderabad was featured by a global environmental certification body, Sintali on account of a fulfillment center with an EDGE Buildings Certification. The green building, located in GMR Industrial Park, is a statement of the City’s commitment to sustainability that will also serve to further the cause. The fulfillment centre utilizes the latest technologies to ensure energy and water efficiency and a more sustainable building design with building materials that result in a lower carbon footprint. Compared to the local baseline, the building has managed 77% in energy savings, 84% in water savings and a 70% reduction in the embodied energy in materials. The impressive result makes the fulfillment centre a paragon of sustainability for the region.
